Carers Forum Coordinator
Salary:£13,467 p.a. rising to £14,990 after probationary period.
Hours: 21 per week

NEWHAM CARERS NETWORK- is looking for a Carers Forum Co-ordinator to join our small, committed staff team to take forward the innovative work with Newham Carers United (NCU), which is a Borough wide Forum for all carers.

In addition to coordinating NCU you will provide regular support for Carer’s Representatives in a number of different settings. It is important to enable carers to speak up for themselves and to help them participate effectively.

To do this well you will need experience and understanding of working with vulnerable and marginalised communities; knowledge of carer’s issues and carer’s rights; experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies in the health and social care fields; enabling self-help groups to develop and highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
