50 Years, 50 Faces: Ojo

Meet Ojo…

If someone deserves our deepest admiration and gratitude, it’s definitely Ojo! She has been a driving force at our Food Bank for many years. 

Ojo embarked on her volunteering journey in our Refugee and Migrant Project, almost six years ago, to help the most vulnerable and destitute families in our local community. She is extremely hard working, dedicated, and never fazed by any challenges. During the pandemic she was volunteering three days a week due to the increase in demand for food bank support needed by hundreds of individual and families. 

We are blown away by her incredible commitment to the food bank and how dedicated she has always been in ensuring that all those attending the food bank never go hungry. She is a role model for other volunteers through her amazing resilience, leadership and hard work. 

We can never say it enough: thank you Ojo.
