 50 Years, 50 Faces: UEL’s Legal Advice Centre:

We are the University of East London’s Legal Advice Centre; we were first introduced to the Renewal Programme because our Director, Saadiya Ahmad, reached out.

We provide a free service of legal advice to a diverse society and help organisations like the Renewal Programme. Our aim is to build and maintain trust with our public of all different backgrounds.

The Renewal Programme’s Immigration Services and Support project is the project we feel mostly connected to; this is because immigration is such a topical issue at the moment and we have been working alongside Sylwia, the Renewal Programme’s Immigration Advisor, for a while now. Speaking of Sylwia, she is a brilliant asset to the organisation!

The organisation means a lot to us as it has helped our Legal Advice Centre Law Volunteers hugely.
