Chris Lindsey

Trustee of The Renewal Programme

I am an IT professional with experience in the bookmaking industry, banking and public sectors. More recently I have enjoyed volunteering with charities and a credit union. From 1981, I spent 5 years as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co followed by 6 years as an IT Manager with Swiss Bank Corporation then 20 years with Ladbrokes from 1992 including 10 years as IT Director of their Retail Division. I set up my own Consulting company in 2012 then retired in 2014 to pursue further study and voluntary work. My voluntary experience includes 3 years with the Whitechapel Mission from 2012 to 2015 helping homeless and disadvantaged individuals as a voluntary support worker in the Mission's life-skills department. I was a director with Essex Savers net Credit Union from 2013 to 2016 and managed their Brentwood service point over the same period. I became a Trustee with The Renewal Programme in Newham, East London in January 2016 and started with Volunteering Matters in Southend directly supporting families in crisis in March 2017.
