As Treasurer, I am an accountant by training. An ecumenical Christian concerned about social inequality, I was recruited several years ago while working at the Financial Services Authority regarding the supervision of insurance companies. I have recently retired from the Bank of England and looking forward to enjoying more time to ride horses.

I hold a BA (with honours) in Politics & International Studies from Warwick University, an MSc in Business Management from Imperial College Business School, while also studying towards a Central Banking Qualification with Warwick University Business School and The Bank of England. I work as an Insurance Supervisor at the Bank of England, and have previous experience working for an M&A Consultancy, as well as a Financial Services & Technology Consultancy. In my spare time I enjoy climbing, watching football and reading.

My name is Lois and I am an ACA chartered accountant and have been employed by BDO for the last 5 years. My current position is as a Financial Services Audit Manager. I specialise in FCA regulation and Listed fund audits. Prior to this I studied Chemistry for four years at the University of Manchester with a year working in industry in research and development.
My hobbies include travel, socialising, ballet, theatre and opera. I also enjoy sports including gym classes, hiking, running, scuba diving and snorkelling. I like to get involved in charity work including the London to Brighton Charity bike ride and have spent time volunteering in an orphanage in Sri Lanka.
I wanted to get involved in some further charity work which is what inspired me to look for a trustee role in a charity. When I heard about the work that the Newham Community Renewal Programme undertook I was keen to get involved as I believe nobody should have to face problems such as homelessness alone.
Chris Lindsey became a Trustee with The Renewal Programme in January 2016 and started with Volunteering Matters in Southend directly supporting families in crisis in March 2017.
I am an IT professional with experience in the bookmaking industry, banking and public sectors. More recently I have enjoyed volunteering with charities and a credit union. From 1981, I spent 5 years as a management consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co followed by 6 years as an IT Manager with Swiss Bank Corporation then 20 years with Ladbrokes from 1992 including 10 years as IT Director of their Retail Division. I set up my own Consulting company in 2012 then retired in 2014 to pursue further study and voluntary work. My voluntary experience includes 3 years with the Whitechapel Mission from 2012 to 2015 helping homeless and disadvantaged individuals as a voluntary support worker in the Mission's life-skills department. I was a director with Essex Savers net Credit Union from 2013 to 2016 and managed their Brentwood service point over the same period. I became a Trustee with The Renewal Programme in Newham, East London in January 2016 and started with Volunteering Matters in Southend directly supporting families in crisis in March 2017.

Rev'd Dr Susan Lucas is Team Rector of East Ham. She came to this role having been in ministry in the Diocese and city of Liverpool, and a previous career in education, assessment and academic life. She writes on the intersections between theology, politics and philosophy, and is married to Tony with one grown up son. When not involved in parish life or academic interests, she likes to play the cello!

I have over 22 years of experience in various technology roles within the pharmaceutical industry, business consultancy and investment banking. Within my current company, I also organise and assist in a number of corporate social responsibility initiatives. As a mother of two children, I was particularly drawn to The Renewal Programme as it matches my desire to open up opportunities and empower individuals to achieve their full potential. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym and swimming.

I'm a chartered accountant with experience in Financial reporting and control, management reporting, system operational support and change management in the Banking Industry. I joined the board of Trustees of the Renewal programme because I believe in its mission and values and would like to be a part of an organization that is bringing change to the community.
Arnold has been a trustee of The Renewal Programme since 2009 and has lived in Newham in for over 35 years.
My name is Arnold Ridout. I have been a trustee of the Renewal Programme since 2009 and have lived in Newham for over 35 years. I am married to Jane with 2 grown up children, both of whom went to school and still live in Newham. I am a lawyer in public service where I specialise in EU law. I started my legal career after gaining a BA in Modern History at Mansfield College, Oxford in the 1970s and by the 1990s found myself working in Brussels as a Detached National Expert for the EC Commission's Legal service. Since 2014, I have been working for the House of Commons as Counsel for European Legislation following 6 years as legal advisor to the EU Select committee in the House of Lords.
