Help us celebrate, and raise some money for our 50th Appeal, by joining us on a 50 mile sponsored cycle ride on 12th September.
In honour of our 50th birthday, we would like to celebrate everything Newham has to offer by hosting our 50 mile sponsored cycle ride ‘50 Year Challenge’.
This will involve a circuit tour of the borough, with visits to 50 of Newham’s most iconic landmarks and surrounding parks. From the Olympic Park in the West to Wanstead Flats in the East, we cannot think of a better way to showcase our borough’s rich history and diverse cultural heritage.
All money raised will go towards our £50,000 fundraising target for the year and will be used to invest in new and existing services to help those most in need.

Please note, the route will start at 10am from 395 High Street North, E12 6PG.
Get Involved
We’re inviting members of our community to join us with our first ‘50 Year Challenge’.
You don’t have to cycle the full 50 miles, you can join us for one or two, and you certainly don’t need to be a seasoned professional when it comes to riding a bike. We welcome all levels of experience. The whole point of this challenge is to have fun, whilst raising some money to go towards our 50th Appeal and soaking up the beautiful scenery in, and around, Newham.
The journey will take place along quiet roads and the safety of participants will remain paramount.
Participants will have access to on-hand support with minor repairs and punctures and we will stop a number of times for refreshments.
If you are interested, or have any questions about getting involved, please contact our Fundraising Team. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Sponsorships
We aim to raise as much money as we can, which is why we’re asking that a minimum sponsorship of £100 is met.
You can find our downloadable sponsorship form here.
