Young Carers’ Action Day 2025

We are excited to announce that on Wednesday 12th March we will be hosting a celebration event for Young Carers’ Action Day open to young carers, parents, and guardians at East Ham Library 328 Barking Rd, London E6 2RT from 4:30 to 6:30pm

This year’s theme for Young Carers’ Action Day, “Give me a break”, reminds us how much time and space to rest can mean for a young carer. Caring can be a full-time role for young carers, so they need to have space to relax and spend time with their peers to reduce the stress they may be experiencing. A young carer is someone of 25 or younger who, without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend, or neighbour, who would not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction, or disability.
Many young carers may struggle with isolation, studies, and finding time to play. Young Carers’ Action Day focuses on what steps we can take to support young carers.
