50 Years, 50 Faces: Louise Vera
As Director of Training and Youth, I am proud of what our teams have achieved and how dedicated they are in supporting the community.
When I joined the organisation, I didn’t see it as a long term option but here I am, 17 years later, still working for the Renewal Programme and can honestly say that I still love my job!
What makes it special is that we get to see firsthand the transformational impact we can have on people’s lives. What makes it extra rewarding are the amazing people I work with, many of whom have been here almost as long as I have, and work quietly in the background to keep the Renewal Programme going.When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my family. I have a passion for all things American and to date have taken 21 road trips throughout 47 of the 50 states.
