Can you help someone make a fresh start in their new home in Newham?

The Renewal Programme provides homes to 42 Newham people who have been homeless and need some support to get back on their feet.

The Renewal Programmes Supported Housing service has a hostel at Barking Road, Canning Town

We help them develop ways to tackle the issues they are facing (which could be relating to things like substance abuse or mental ill health) and build a future for themselves through entering work, training or education

Our aim is to help all our tenants to move onto their own independent living arrangements. But we want to make sure that they feel safe and welcomed during their stay with us.

You can help them feel welcome by providing a pack to help them set up home.  Some of our tenants arrive with nothing but the clothes they stand in. Money can be very short and won’t stretch to buying household items.  Yet having the right home environment is key to helping someone build their personal resilience to tackle the issues they face.

With your pack, we can help our tenants learn to cook and eat properly, keep their home clean and grow their sense of well-being and self-esteem.
