We are recruiting for a Youth Social Action Project Worker!

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, creative and outgoing individual to join our vibrant Youth Service and help support young people in their personal and social development.

1 x Youth Social Action Project Worker (up to 60 hours, to be worked flexibly, mostly weekends and school holidays) – fixed term from October to January 2019.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a sense of adventure and willingness to try new things, linked with the ability to relate and engage with young people through community social action and volunteering. The aim of this post is to support teams of young people to design, develop and implement a series of social action projects, including campaigns, sponsorship events and volunteering days.

Our Youth Service helps young people learn about themselves, others and society, through informal educational and a wide range of positive activities, which in most cases combine enjoyment, challenge and learning. It can be challenging work at times but very rewarding!

It is an exciting time to join us as we look to expand and grow our service. We are a relatively small service but with big ideas and are ambitious for the young people of Newham.
