English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Digital Skills.

Who are these courses for?

The Renewal Programme’s Training and Education project is designed for adults aged 19 and over who prefer to study in a local community setting. All our courses are free and open to everyone – you do not need to live in Newham to apply.

Our courses are ideal for anyone looking to improve their English and/or digital skills. Every learner will take part in an interview and assessment to determine their level of spoken and written English.

Our Courses

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Do you want to improve your spoken and written English and gain accredited qualifications?

We have places for ESOL learners at Pre-entry, Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

You will study 3 modules:

Reading, Speaking & Listening & Writing.

Each module lasts 12 weeks.

Once you have passed the exam, you will have the opportunity to progress to the next level.

Level 2 ESOL is equivalent to both Functional Skills English Level 2 and GCSE English, which may be required to work in a childcare or school setting.
