Sustainable Cafe Volunteer
The Sustainable Café that is opening with
the aim to help give people tips on how to be more sustainable in life and have conversations around the environment. We will be serving surplus food as well as hot and cold drinks, and are looking for a friendly volunteer to help us at our cafe.
ESOL Conversation Class Volunteer
We’re looking for volunteers to lead our conversation sessions.
With your help, we can build the confidence of local people who do not have English as a
first language enabling them to gain more independence in their lives, move on to a
formal ESOL qualification or just to have the chance to meet and socialise with other
people.

We currently have a team of 50 volunteer and we value their commitment and hard work. We could not operate without the dedication of our volunteers, who do an incredible job helping people living in the borough.
Volunteers must be over 18. We appreciate all of our volunteers and love welcoming new ones to the ever-growing team.
The amount of time needed is different for each vacancy, and we will always outline this within the role description.
The answer is this depends on your motivations for volunteering; it’s a great way to use your existing skills or give back to the community.
Similarly, individuals can also use volunteering to further their skills and knowledge and provide an opportunity for them to meet new people and gain confidence. In addition, volunteering looks great on CVs.
Yes, volunteers receive necessary training from our internal Volunteering department. Training is usually internal, but external training opportunities will sometimes crop up. Volunteers are given the same training opportunities as employees.
