The Refugee and Migrant Project (RAMP) exists, to put it simply, to support refugees, migrants and asylum seekers, living in Newham, who are seeking refuge from disadvantaged conditions.
Often individuals and families living in these conditions have migrated to the UK via difficult and often traumatic routes; their reasons for coming to the UK are usually formed around safety issues, but many are scared and do not know how to navigate or engage with statutory requirements.
Often, they have unclear, undocumented or not yet finalised immigration statuses.
Meet our Refugee and Migrant Project service case worker. Humera is passionate about working with vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants; she believes in empowering unheard individuals and families from all walks of life.
