‘Dear Newham’ is an open letter to the residents of the borough of Newham from the Renewal Programme. ‘Dear Newham’ is a story told from the perspective of four people connected with the charity, where they share their passion and pride for the work that the Renewal Programme does in the community.
Established in 1971, our core aim has been to inspire marginalised peoples and communities to sustain themselves independently in the future. For 50 years, we have kept this aim at the heart of the charity; transforming and empowering individuals and ultimately creating a stronger, happier borough.
On the 22nd of October 2021, we hosted an event to celebrate 50 years of the charity’s work, supporting the most vulnerable members of Newham’s community. Our ‘Dear Newham’ film helps to commemorate our 50th anniversary; celebrating all that has been, and still can be achieved, as we continue to work together towards vibrant and integrated Newham communities.
