Connect Newham Get Together: April

You may have read about the first Connect Newham Get Together we held in March, which provided the service users with an opportunity to meet face-to-face and to get direct support from the Connect Newham team.

This meeting was less formal than the first, with the facilitator steering away from the agenda, choosing to focus on ensuring clients felt settled and comfortable. This style of meeting allowed everyone to get to know each other a better and provided a more of a face to face befriending service.

Clients had a lot to say, with plenty of opportunity to converse, and they even shared stories about their background and life. A rating of 10/10 was given to the comfort levels of the event, which is hugely reassuring and brilliant news.

Alongside getting to know each other, clients also completed a positivity chart – an example can be found below – which provided individuals with the chance to delve deeper into their emotions.
