Taste of Culture
Connect Newham held a ‘Taste of Culture’ last week, celebrating our clients’ heritages and languages. They even brought along a cultural dish from different countries, which everyone got to enjoy.
After the initial introductions, everyone was asked how to say “Hello” and “What is your name?” in their native language.
Once everyone practised speaking in the different languages, they moved onto monuments and fun facts from the different cultures. Pictures of monuments were shared and everyone learned something new about the different countries.
Participants were then asked to share something about their native country which they knew, and then they moved onto flag colouring, which everyone loved.
It was then time for the food to be shared, which was a lovely experience for all involved.
