‘Dear Newham…’ is the Renewal Programme’s latest campaign, aiming to shine a light on the wonderful borough we live and work in.
The Renewal Programme have operated in the borough for 50 years now and with the people of Newham at the forefront of our work, we think it makes sense for us to lead on this campaign that celebrates the vibrancy of the place we call home.
Since 1971, Newham has changed a lot, but what hasn’t changed is its sense of community. It’s unity. It’s togetherness. This is evidenced in how quickly the borough came together at the start of the pandemic; how businesses, charities and organisations adapted, how neighbours looked out for each other, how much love was shown to our fellow Newham residents.
In order for this campaign to work, we need YOU. Yes, you reading this. What does Newham mean to you?
Now’s your opportunity to shout from the rooftops about our wonderful borough and the people that make it. Using one word, or a short sentence, how would you complete the following sentence:
“Dear Newham, you are…”
Whilst we can’t share with you further details of this campaign just yet, we promise it’ll be worth the wait. We’ll be showing the outcome of this campaign at our 50th celebrations on 22nd October and then the end result will be shown across our social media platforms and our website soon after. We’ll also be encouraging as many Newham residents to shout about it as well, because after all, the campaign wouldn’t exist without those taking part.
In order to take part in ‘Dear Newham…’, please complete this Google Form by 20th October.
