Gardening Update #5
Our Supported Housing garden is now full of gorgeous growing plants like this Anemone (pictured below). We’ve been planting potatoes in a vegetable bed and the strawberry plants are flowering ready to give us fruit in June.
The shed has also been finished, so a huge thanks to our volunteers Arnold and Glyn for getting this completed!
On the downside, we now have an intrusive weed with reddish leaves – known as Japanese Knotweed – which is quickly spreading along the back of the garden near the wooden fence. We are hoping to have this cleared ASAP so we can continue planting other plants, flowers and vegetables.
