Gardening Update

26/01/2022

Gardening Update:
We are so lucky to have a team of volunteers who are working with some of our Supported Housing residents to brighten up their garden space.

Last week they put some edging tiles round the flowerbed at the back of the garden. These tiles were donated by Glyn, one of our volunteer gardeners. They’re spare tiles from his own garden and he thinks they’ve been there since his house was first built in the 1880s.

There are lots of plants growing in the garden even though it’s only January. The team saw crocus, daffodil and bluebell leaves coming up. Most of the shrubs and flowering plants are doing well.

There are plenty of wildflowers, as well.

Our team are looking forward to doing even more planting from next month. One of our residents suggested growing watercress, so that’s what they’ll be planting next. We’ll be posting another gardening update soon.
