The event allowed young people from the community to gather round and see the new space where they can spend time socialising, have fun and bring forth some new ideas.
The event took place at the New Martin Centre in Plaistow, the new venue for the youth club. At the event young people and guests participated in fun activities including Non-Contact Boxing, Table Tennis, Pool, Lucky Dip, Smoothie & Pizza Making, Super Sumo’s and Henna.
Youth Co-Ordinator Darius-Delali Baird also presented us with some video of all the great things the youth have done, all the fun activities and trips the youth club have been on. It was lovely to see the happiness in the young people and the great work the team have done.
One young person said “It was fun from the first time coming in, everyone’s really friendly and include you in everything. The staff are really nice”
We would like to thank the youth workers for their hard work in making this possible and to the Deputy Mayor and councillor for coming by but most importantly the great group of young people.
