Our Youth Services help young people learn about themselves, and society through informal education and a wide range of activities
Our Supported Housing project is an initiative developed in conjunction with the London Borough of Newham and One-Housing Group to provide accommodation and life skills support for single homeless people over the age of 18.
The Renewal Programme’s Training & Education project is of paramount importance to the community and the borough.
The project is aimed at individuals who may find a large education situation daunting or overwhelming; the Renewal Programme’s primary aim is to encourage and enable people to achieve recognised qualifications and to progress to further/higher education and employment. Our teachers support people to overcome these barriers, empowering them to enter further vocational training and to find employment. Individuals often want to just be able to support their families, such as helping their children with homework or to be able to engage with UK banking and legal services.
The Refugee and Migrant Project (RAMP) exists, to put it simply, to support refugees, migrants and asylum seekers, living in Newham, who are seeking refuge from disadvantaged conditions
Our Food Bank is run by RAMP staff and volunteers; they have gained a wealth of experience from speaking to service users and familiarising themselves with different personal situations based on an individual’s experience. This has allowed us to put strategies and processes in place, enabling us to best help the clients visiting us who are food insecure and experiencing food poverty.
Volunteers kindly give their time, passion, and enthusiasm to help us achieve our main objective: to transform and empower the lives of those living within Newham.
Every day, the enormous range of skills, experience and expertise they bring makes us stronger as an organisation. This enables us to reach more people, establish wider networks, and champion Newham residents.
